290: Percy Jackson - Sea of Monsters

Image
I can honestly say I am not super late on this, watched this last night. Percy just keeps getting better and better, sadly this was done 4 years ago and a next movie is nowhere on the horizon. I need more Percy Jackson, especially with the cliffhanger. You get the Hippocampus, Manticore, mechanical bull death machine, cyclops, a cyclops half-brother, AND Chronos. OH! Also we finally get Clarissa from the books who is the legendary bully to Percy and really just to anyone who isn't a child of Aries. They definitely stayed more true to the book this time around, even though like I said in the previous one...still no bad guy Aries and age thing, but that is just not going to change in a sequel. Ha, ha. Can't go backwards really. Actually, speaking of age difference, Thalia bugged me a little. I won't go into that rant just because it would take up a whole post and I would need to fact check and I don't have time or the patience for that. Still, it bugged me. Other

289: Percy Jackson & the Olympians - The Lightning Thief

Image
I am late on posting again. Anyways, this movie is another one of those times where I saw the movie, found out it was a book and then read the book. I understand why they changed the ages of the main characters...I guess...I mean I love both of them. I did find it frustrating though that they completely removed Aries from the storyline and then they even removed Clarissa from it too, yeah she shows up in the sequel but seriously. Aries is the real bad guy, even though Luke still is a bad guy, he just isn't THE bad guy. It is a pretty big leap in the ages they chose for the movie compared to the books. 12 year to a 16 year old. Yeah, I know. This movie brings out my love for mythology though. The fact that it is Greek mythology just makes me bounce with glee. How cool would it be though if Camp Half-Blood were real? I can only dream. Tori M.

288: Pathfinder

Image
I'm gonna be honest, I bought this movie for Karl Urban and then found out how much I loved it around him. Ha, ha. What is so interesting is how they make you believe that the Vikings looked that way in time. Very imposing, in your face and brutal. It also paints a very true picture of how Vikings were, they were brutal warriors who killed anything in their path that didn't fit with what they thought or believed. Then you get the Native Americans...so beautiful with their outfits in this movie and the culture they show only to have these unknown beings come and ruin it all. With Ghost, he comes from the land of the Vikings but was abandoned by them and raised by Natives. Not really belonging in one or the other, but at the same time both. The action in this movie is really quite amazing with the stunt work. The behind the scenes is well worth the watch because Karl Urban did a good majority of his stunts if not completely all. Same with the warrior who he was competing w

287: Passport to Paris

Image
Out of all the Mary-Kate & Ashley movies/tv shows, I watched this one the most when I was young. VHS was always in the VCR and I wanted to be just like the twins with how smart and fashion forward they were. I did own a couple Mary-Kate dolls that came out and I just realized that I kept getting those ones when I wanted the Ashley ones more. Ha, ha. I think Mary-Kate was too sassy for me and edgy, her clothes were kind of cuter on the dolls too. So I am writing this while watching the behind the scenes and the music and voice over is just...whoa. I did really want to travel to Paris when I saw this movie. Going to museums, riding on scooters to look at landmarks and all the cobblestones. It's kind of like going back into time. I do have to say that watching this movie now that I am older, I can't help but notice just how--what's the word, self-absorbed? Self-serving? That is it, self-serving. It wasn't until Jeremy bailed them out and quit that they realized

286: Parent Trap

Image
I was one of those kids/people, that when this movie came out, thought that there were actual twins in this movie. Nope, just Lindsay Lohan. I was so thrown by it at the time, like most were, and amazed that something like that was even possible on screen. At that time I hadn't even seen the original, so...imagine just how far off the surprise wagon I was. I honestly prefer this one more. Modern based and with familiar actors such as Dennis Quaid. Every time this movie would come on Disney Channel, I would pop myself in front of the television--try and commandeer it from whoever was there--and watch it. I loved it and still do. There is just something about Lindsay Lohan and how she acts and looks. I mean we all remember her as a cute girl/kid before her life got plastered everywhere about every bad thing going on. In the behind the scenes she is very much a young adult even at 11. Professional in how she was talking about the cast and crew, filming and the process. I mean,

285: Pagemaster

I have always loved this movie, I would watch this one a lot on VHS back in the day. Now don't get me wrong I still have flashbacks of when I was scared during the horror book scene with Mr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Books can really teach us so much, even fiction. With this movie it teaches Richard how to not be scared of everything, to live life and show just how much fun it can be. No statistics involved. Most people who love to read--me--wish that they could jump into the book and live it, or even see it in their heads like a movie and feel what the characters feel. Stories also stick with you, the really memorable ones or ones that relate to you personally. Even though more than half of this movie is animated, I wonder if they were to do a remake of this now...how would it look if they didn't animate it? Live action all the way. It would probably be just as magical as this, but nothing can beat a classic. Even Fantasy said so. Tori M.

284: Paddington

Image
Oh boy, Paddington. It is kind of like witnessing a possible accident and the inability to look away even though you want to. All the situations he gets himself into, I mean he does it so flawlessly with how accident prone he is. I feel you Paddington, I am that way myself but maybe not to the same extremes. I have never had a bathroom flood only to ride down a staircase in a bathtub like a raft, nor have I ever been wrapped up in loads of tape and somehow catch the kitchen on fire. I do applaud his way of avoiding great harm, capture and even taking down a pick pocket. Paddington sure has flare. I don't think I ever owned a Paddington book, I know the look of Paddington and that is really all I am familiar about. I never knew the story until this movie came out and watched it. Turns out it was one of my mom's favorite books growing up and I didn't want to watch it without her. I think I am going to have to get some of the books now to see just what more he gets into

283: Pacifier

Image
This one was watched last night, so I am finally caught up. I am so tired, I have pedialyte beside me and my cat is sitting next to me watching me type this. She is such a creep. What I love about this movie is that it is not the typical action movie and nor is it the typical movie for Vin Diesel. You can tell just how natural he is holding the baby and hanging with the kids, even in the behind the scenes they said and showed that he was always holding the baby as much as possible. Natural dad. Seriously makes you love him even more! I do love that it is action for him, gotta have those moves and the hardcore facial expressions. I honestly had the Peter Panda Dance in my head a few weeks prior to watching this. I have also seen this movie a lot. One of my favorite parts in this movie has to be...hmm...I think it is a tie between him telling her his pecs aren't boobs and the diaper changing scene. I hope that we get to see more of Vin in these types of roles/movies. I think w

282: Over the Hedge

Image
It has been some time since I have seen this movie. OMG! Bruce is a really good salesman when being a raccoon. Trying to recruit the other animals to forage for food to pay back a debt to big giant bear...yeah they don't about that, not until things go downhill near the end. Talking about food and humans, he had such a sales pitch to them with how he spoke that even I was on the bandwagon. I also forgot how much I love Hammy. That face! The energy. Oh Steve Carell, you embody a manic, hyper-active, squirrel so well. Then he gets on an energy drink and time stops. The whole world literally stops spinning. I had no idea that this was originally a comic strip either. The behind the scenes is cool to see what went into making this movie. They had to create a whole new fur palette in animation. They even had the actual animals come to the studio to watch how they moved, acted and look like. Animation has come so far and even further since this movie. Anyways, I have come to t

281: One for the Money

Image
I can't even begin to say how much I want to re-read this series! They have the characters perfectly cast...I mean, yeah, Morelli isn't exact in his looks, but he really does capture how he acts and who he is. The only problem I had personally with this was that Morelli has a house, not an apartment. I wish they had continued this with more movies or even as a television series...I think from what I can find online, it is up to Sony to take the step and there is an idea in the works to try television. TRY NETFLIX! HULU EVEN! Anything to get more! Please! Critics can ruin everything, I mean just because they don't like Katherine Heigl as an actress. She nailed Stephanie Plum on the head, even the author thought so once she put the wig on. Also the chemistry with Ranger, Morelli and Stephanie. Perfect. Just perfect with all of them. The way Ranger said his tagline, "Babe," in different tones and looks. If you haven't read the books, you need to! It is hil

280: No Reservations

Image
Abigail Breslin is back, younger and no living on an island. Instead she is an orphaned niece of Kate who is an executive chef of a very nice French restaurant. Anything to do with cooking and I am all over it. To watch different foods be made and to see the passion when Kate and Nick cook....it is the same for me. Even though Nick can get a little over the top and carried away in the passion. I love to cook and work in a restaurant. So watching this is very relaxing to me. The fact that they had the episode of Unwrapped that was based on this movie as the special feature was pretty cool to see and watch. When Kate and Zoe were having hard times with the loss of a mother/sister, it did bring to mind my grandma. She loved to cook just as much and would teach us how to make her famous recipes, especially ones from Germany. When Zoe said that she didn't want to forget or was worried she would forget her mother, it was definitely something I had worried about and sometimes still

279: Nim's Island

Image
As a writer, I can tell you that most times you talk to your character like she does in this movie. Alexandra Rover vs Alex Rover. Yeah you seem crazy, but you get some great material and you live what you are writing. You can tell that the creators of this lived it when it finally came to life. It was how they saw it in their heads. If I wasn't sick right now, I would be writing. This made me want to write more of my book I have been working on. Gerard makes a great dad and also a great action hero, very Indiana Jones. I actually think this movie is pretty cute, anything with animals makes me love it and somehow I can kind of relate to poor Alexandra when all she wants to do is stay inside. I mean I don't feel like she does, I do like going out on adventures but I am more of an introvert. There are times that I think it would be amazing to have the opportunity that Nim does, living on an island, learning things in a different way and knowing a simpler life and being han

278: Nightmare Before Christmas

Image
I watched this yesterday and I am going to write this really quick, because I am really not feeling well. I watched this...my favorite movie and you know what happened? I fell a-freaking-sleep. I got up to the part where he was riding into town with Christmas stuff and ready for a town meeting to introduce everyone to the magic of he new holiday he discovered. Yep, then bam. Out. The one movie that is my favorite and I can quote it while watching it, do the different voices and know every little thing about...and I fall asleep. I guess that I'm sort of glad that it was this movie and not something I haven't seen as much, but still. I'm sad. Thankfully I know this movie by heart. I am so obsessed with this movie, I have figures, I have clothing, I have artwork, and I even have a sticker on my car window of Jack's face. Someday I will deck out my car with Nightmare Before Christmas and there is still so much that I want, I saw some great things over at Box Lunch la

277: Night at the Museum 3 - Secret of the Tomb

Image
Cranking them out while I can still stay upright. Again they make it just as good as the other two. The fact that you have Lancelot who doesn't know he isn't real, a caveman who was modeled after Ben's character as a joke and falls in love with the British Night Guard, Hugh Jackman and an epic fight scene with a metal demon snake from Asia in the museum. I love that little metal guy who mimics what he did with the defibrillators, so cute and funny. In the behind the scenes I was very curious as to how they filmed Ben playing two parts in the same screen, it was very cool and entertaining to watch the Director of the film play both parts when Ben was the opposite. Then they actually did have a stunt double with a mask on as La and I will tell you, it looks down right disturbing, it doesn't look anything like Ben and it looks like something out of a horror movie. I do also like how in this movie it tells the story about the tablet and finding the tomb that containe

276: Night at the Museum 2 - Battle of the Smithsonian

Image
I am behind once more on writing this, why? I'm sick again. Trying to break a fever and fix a sore throat, all while being incredibly fatigued. I do like this movie though, a new museum with new characters to be on an adventure with. Especially the famous Amelia Earhart. We also run into the big brother of Ahkmenrah, Kah Mun Rah who wants to raise his dead army and take over the world. It is kind of sad though that Ahkmenrah isn't in this movie, it would've been nice to have the dialogue with him and his brother. Also there is a new love interest in this movie for Ben Stiller's character, we no longer have the woman who did tours at the museum. I do like that in the end he met someone who looked just like Amelia, but then of course you know that it doesn't stick. Look at the third movie. No love interest, at least for him. Each movie honestly gets better and better and Ben gets even better and better with his fighting the bad guy. I can't pick a favorit

275: Night at the Museum

Image
All time favorite scene is when Octavius and Jedediah are spearing the tire to impede the escape in the van. How it pans out, showing there is no drama whatsoever, and then comes back into turmoil and hanging on for dear life! Hilarious. Gets me every time I watch this movie. I remember when this first came out in theaters and still there is nothing like it. They even went on to make 2 more in two different museums. What I like so much about this movie is that there really is so much adventure and magic in museums. Some people think it is boring, but learning about history is actually fascinating, especially with how they go about telling it in museums with the dioramas. I mean I would love to go to the Natural History Museum one day and now that I am closer in distance, that is something I intend to do in the next couple years. The museum not only comes to life in this movie, but it comes to life thanks to an Egyptian tablet that belongs to the Prince it comes with. I have said

274: Next

Image
What if you could see the future? What if you could see your own future? Now imagine if you had that ability and yet you could only see 2 minutes ahead. Next is pretty unique in how it is an action movie, a science fiction movie and a romance/drama and it makes you believe that this could really happen. I am one of those who believes in clairvoyance and those who truly do see future events before they happen. A lot of the time these very people do actually help out their fellow people, some are even helping out law enforcement with finding missing people or killers. In this case, Nick's character wants nothing to do with that. He doesn't want to be a guinea pig anymore and wants to live as normal of a life as he can. Then of course he catches the eye of the government and gets dragged into a terrorist plot that happens to involve him and the woman he saw in his vision 2 weeks more than what he normally can see. The fact that there are so many possibilities in this movie

273: New York Minute

Image
The twins are back, this time tied to the hip unwillingly. New York Minute is the movie that first introduced me to Simple Plan, ever since I have loved their music and own every album. Also this was my first introduction to Jared Padalecki before he went on to do Supernatural. You would think it was Gilmore Girls, but I was really late on that bandwagon. This movie is definitely one of my favorites with the Olsen's in it. So many different and bad situations, meeting new people and reconnecting as sisters just makes for a good film. I think my favorite part in this movie has to be when they go to the convenience store, Ashley falls into the toilet and Mary-Kate makes a huge snack pile while trying on sunglasses. I have to say the soundtrack to the movie is very catchy, especially their version of Suffragette City at the end. In true Olsen movie style, they wind up in this big scheme and wind up wrapping it all up in a perfect bow at the end. This isn't the usual way of

272: New in Town

Image
For a first time seeing this, especially now that I have lived in Minnesota for 2 and a half years, I love this movie. It is super cute and funny. Blanche has Minnesotans down! I will say though that it bothers me a little bit that they have a movie about Minnesota and didn't film here. I mean there are so many landmarks here that are very prominent. The Twin Cities for one. Also the airport they have in this...makes me wonder if they think there is a one near New Ulm that is a private airport, but it looks more like the real airport. I'm sorry but there is so much around the Airport! Mall of America is literally right there, lots of freeways, lots of other buildings and the cities are right there too pretty much. That is what bothered me the most. When I watched the behind the scenes and found out they filmed in Winnipeg, Canada and them talking about how cold it was for the cameras that they would shut off after 40 something below...if you had just filmed in the state

271: National Treasure - Book of Secrets

Image
I am not necessarily late on this one, just in the sense it hasn't been two days. I did watch this yesterday night though. I'm a stinker. The story continues in the sequel, Ben is having relationship problems, his family's good name is being smeared and he is on another hunt to find The City of Gold in hopes to put things back to rights with history and his family. Most of the time the sequels tend to not hold up to the first movie, this is not the case with Book of Secrets. There is so much more to delve into with history, especially American history and things to twist into a good story. Now we are dealing with events that led to Abraham Lincoln's assassination, a book that is passed down from president to president with secrets that no one is allowed to know and it all leads to a very national monument...Mount Rushmore. The detail they go into with each clue and the risk as it grows more and more is enough to leave you on the edge of your seat. I would love

270: National Treasure

Image
I am pretty much really late on this post. I watched this two days ago and have been wiped out lately from work. It has been super busy!!! Anyways, I love this movie so much. There is always one person in the group that is the comedic relief and steals some of the show or best lines. Riley is that person. Don't get me wrong, the other two hold their own and overshadow Riley at times, but he doesn't let them get away with it without making a remark about how they do it and when they do. I do feel Riley so much at the end when they thought they were stuck and after all the stuff they went through, to see stairs. National Treasure really bends history, while sort of sneaking in truths and facts as they go. This movie will never get old for me and draws you into the story and adventure. Also, Sean Bean really knows how to play the bad guy in films. :) Tori M.

269: Nanny McPhee

Image
The person I think we all need is Nanny McPhee. Sometimes we are in some trouble or in a situation we think we can't get out of. I think even though we are not all children acting out, we need someone there to help us through tough times. Whether they are the hand that does it, or the one that pushes us to do it ourselves and think up the solution. I can't believe though that I have never heard of the books that this was based off of. Nurse Matilda. I also didn't know that Emma Thompson wrote the script for Nanny McPhee. Is there anything she can't do? This movie has a very Mary Poppins feel to it, but the difference is that none of the kids like her when she shows up. She has lessons to teach and with each lesson, her appearance or other people's perceptions of her changes. Either way, Nanny McPhee is always the same inside, the outside doesn't really matter. Learned that from the special features and it is a very deep lesson when they mention that. Coli

268: Nanny Diaries

Image
So I did this backwards. I saw the movie, found out there was a book and then read that. I really do like this movie, it's funny, there is a little romance...and then of course you just want it all to work out for the best for The X's. Finding out while reading the book, that this was written by two former nanny's was very interesting. Also the fact that none of this is based on a true story, I totally thought it was. The behind the scenes, they even said that so many people believed it was a true story but it is really just entirely fiction with some slices of truth with the occupation of the nanny. While Annie is trying to find out just who Annie is, she is also helping Mrs. X and Grayer. Mrs. X initially in the end with the nanny cam footage. I think as a whole we all think like Annie at first, being a nanny or babysitter is easy money. It isn't, there is a lot that goes into it emotionally, mentally and physically. Like the authors said, there are some nanny&

267: Nancy Drew

Image
I grew up playing the PC games by Her Interactive. I still love them and need to play them all, as I only played a few like Shadow Ranch, Secrets Can Kill to name a couple. I think they picked the perfect people to play Nancy's friends. As for Nancy...I don't know, Emma can get a little too perky bubbly that just doesn't fit Nancy Drew. That is just my opinion though. I feel like she fit well in certain aspects, but she needed to tone down a little. Made me think of when she was on Unfabulous. The story of the movie is actually really good and filming locations were gorgeous. I was jealous that she got to drive that car, I'm a sucker for a nice car in case you missed my post about Gone in 60 Seconds. Ha, ha. All in all they captured the spirit of Nancy Drew, it felt like one her games they make even set in a more modern time. They stayed true to who Nancy Drew was with her fashion and her love for mysteries. This is the 2nd time I have seen this, but I don't

266: My Cousin Vinny

Image
"Two Utes." "Magic grits?" "My biological clock is ticking!" My mom and my brother would always quote this movie growing up, I had no idea what they were talking about and why they loved it so much until I finally saw it some years ago. Honestly, Vinny is a great lawyer especially in the court room. At first he doesn't really know what he is doing, but with the help of his fiance Lisa he understands more about trials and how they need to run. Not knowing that it is the law to share evidence, witnesses and files with the other lawyer was a big one that he found out from her, because she actually read the book! He has a great way of finding evidence in his everyday life, by accident. The grits, finding out how long those take to cook. Basically tearing apart every witness account on the car and the people, by taking the time to go there, take pictures...with his fiance's pink camera...and having his own expert witness perfect for the very

265: My Bloody Valentine

Image
I am late in writing this one. I watched this not yesterday, but the night before on the 7th and I just forgot about it. Went to bed and forgot about it. I actually really like this movie. I am not a big horror movie person, but this one is more like a psychological thriller and I am all over those. Also it has Jensen Ackles in it from Supernatural, which I don't watch as religiously as I did years ago. Jensen really plays the bad guy really well and the innocent guy really well, which is both in this movie. One minute he can be super nice, then he can cocky and sure of himself, then that part when his face goes dark and he says, "Oh I'm here." *shivers in delight* He does it so well. I also had no idea that this movie was shot in a real mine! The behind the scenes was very interesting, seeing how they shot the movie in the mine, trying to find where to put lighting and how low the ceiling was. I don't know how they all did, I applaud them because I would h

264: My Big Fat Greek Wedding

Image
I love this love story. I can relate to certain things involving family. I have a LOT of extended family, they are all over the place and different personalities. Some loud, some hilarious, some overseas in Germany, some...overly religious and overbearing, some just as married with kids as her own family...I could go on. Don't get me wrong I love my big family, but there are moments that anyone needs a little space from their big family. Ha, ha. That isn't a bad thing either! What I love about this movie is that it is different. I did just realize that there is like 2 wedding movies in a row too...Anyways, off track. My Big Fat Greek Wedding welcomes you into their household and culture. All in all throughout this movie, you can tell just how much everyone loves Tula. They want the best for her, they want her to be happy like they are being married and they also go out of their way to accommodate her yearning for knowledge and a different way of life. Not to mention the

263: My Best Friend's Wedding

Image
"I can be Jell-O." I grew watching this movie. This was my first Julia Roberts movie when I was little, then it was Runaway Bride. Ironically both wedding movies. My mom and I would watch this one so many times and we know it by heart. One of my favorite scenes in this is when they are the Crab House and George is telling the story of how he met Julianne, then breaks out into "Say a Little Prayer for You." Can I just say that George is so charming?! I was glad, when watching the behind the scenes, that they decided to write more George into the movie. I can't imagine it with less of him and they even had a different ending in mind without him showing up. *shakes finger back and forth* Glad they listened to Rupert on that bit. I will always love this movie and I know it will never happen, but it would be nice to see a sequel as a kind of where is Julianne now? Did she find someone she could love since love is hard for her? What about George? Anymore adve

262: Must Love Dogs

Image
First time seeing this movie and I really am glad this is not my movie. Ha, ha. It is just not for me. I do admit that there are some cute and funny moments in the movie, but they are rare to me. My anxiety was through the roof, especially with how intense he is on their first and second date. Not saying I didn't like that he wanted honesty from the start and no small talk...I mean no one likes small talk. I do like the dog, but other than that it was driving me nuts with how much sadness, uncomfortable-ness and such they were feeling and I felt it too. I can't see myself seeing this movie again, it's just not for me and that is okay. Tori M.

261: Music & Lyrics

Image
Here's the thing about this movie...you will be addicted to the songs in this film. I still have them memorized and was singing along to it, even dancing to it. Especially the first song, "Pop Goes By Heart". They nailed the 80's and the music videos, it was funny finding out they used inspiration from Duran Duran on creating the music video while watching the behind the scenes. This movie is also just really cute and Hugh is hilarious. You can tell that he obviously improvised a lot with some of his lines and even cracked himself up with what was coming out of his mouth. I do admit that this movie touches that part of my childhood and my soul with being raised with music around me. My dad teaches guitar and bass guitar, so I always had that going and I know just how hard it is to write songs and music like they find in this. I have only written one official song, played it at my High School talent show on stage my senior year, recorded it for the Yearbook DVD th

260: Murder on the Orient Express

Image
A movie that neither of us have seen! We both wanted to see this when it came out in November, but missed out. Agatha Christie has a great way of telling a story, especially a murder mystery. My first introduction to her was "And Then There Were None" and that was a PC game we got when I was younger. It came with the novel as well and I remember playing it and being so scared by the detail, the story and the sounds. When I finally beat it, I do have to say it was very good and I would love to play it again if I can find it. This book that this movie is based on, I have never read, like I said I have only ever been introduced to the one I mentioned before. Watching this and the behind the scenes, my mom and I have both agreed that we might want to get more Agatha Christie books and read them. They chose some very good actors to play in this period piece, especially Johnny Depp. We both realized that he tends to go for these time periods or older in movies. Something tha

259: Muppets Take Manhattan

Image
So this movie I got from a cereal box many years ago, back in Elementary school and it advertises AOL online trial. I kept it because come on...it's the Muppets! I actually really like this movie, but find them a little naive when they leave college thinking that they will immediately be on Broadway once they get to New York and meet with someone. Now sure, the first person they met affirmed those unrealistic notions and then a second after he got arrested for basically stealing client's money. I do like that it shows that if you try hard enough, don't give up and have people around you that believe in your journey or at least are there to support you...you can do what you set out to do. What does bother me a little is the fact that his friends worried they were a burden to him and rather than talk about it and get the facts straight, then maybe they could have helped out rather than running off pretending to have amazing lives and jobs. Poor Kermit did all the footw

258: Mummy Returns

Image
I have loved this movie since it came out. My mom bought me the small novel that came out after this did, with movie photos in the middle and I had the hugest crush on Brendan Fraiser. I mean yeah Imhotep and Ardeth was strong too, but Brendan really stole the show for me. I loved this movie and book so much that in Elementary school we did these paper bag book reports. We had to put facts and decorate it to tell the story. Well my mom helped me and we did the hot air ship from the movie, we made the bag into the ship part and had the balloon part above made of I want to say tissue paper...I can't remember much about the materials used, just that it was done. I was so proud of my book report, even though it was a movie book, but that shows you just how much I loved this movie. I really loved this movie also because I was and still am huge into the history and mythology of Ancient Egypt. It was a big favorite of mine and I even have an Anubis statue and Bastet statue from Egy

257: Mr. Popper's Penguins

Image
Penguins. Yes Penguins. If you don't love Penguins whenever you go to the zoo...I'm so sorry for you. They are super funny and pretty damn cute, however they are loud and they do bite. I imagine that can be a problem for the zookeepers when it comes to taking care of them. Really though, they are fascinating creatures and this movie shows that. Yeah some of the penguins are CGI, but watching the behind the scenes with Jim working with them, you can clearly see that there is a bond there that they formed.
