347: Sharktale




Everything is fish-i-fied! Krispy Kreme? Nope, Kelpy Kreme. Car wash? Whale wash. Time Square? Yeah that is now a reef that looks like it. Even though the animation is different and older than what we are all used to, since it has grown in quality, I still like this movie. Hilarious and the fish look like the people who voice them! Will Smith as a fish...actually just Will Smith voicing animation is perfect. He has the perfect comedy and way of talking and reacting that is pure magic. So that makes me really excited to see him as Genie in the new Aladdin movie coming next year. ;) See how I transitioned?

Anyways, I still have the lyrics, "Working at the car wash," in my head today. Can you believe it? I am almost entirely caught up and we watched this yesterday. Speaking of....HAPPY HALLOWEEN! What are you guys going to be? Someone who is great at body paint or makeup should be Oscar for Halloween! Yeah, this is very last minute suggestion, but hey, it would be cool to see someone go as someone from Shark Tale.

Last and final mass movie post! I finally did it guys/gals, I completed my movie goal today!!!! I can't believe that I watched 461 movies in one year! I also can't believe I own that many movies! 168: Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies

First off...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! Now I can get into the movie. This is my 2nd time seeing this one and I forgot that two people died at the end and not just Kili. I mean I cried, I cried really hard when the Elf King told her the reason why it hurt so much was because her love for him was real. My big emotional scale through this movie was, anxiety from all the battle going on, to "come on Thorin, get your head out of your ass", to "YAY THORIN IS BACK", to back heartbreak at the death of Fili, Kili and Thorin, to glad the war was over and Bilbo could go home...of course only to find out his personal effects were being auctioned off. I mean I know there is a lot of CGI in this movie and this one is my least favorite, but not because of that reasoning that is so many others'. Back to basics. To the animal side. The Furian side. Let's be honest here, the dog stole the show. We all want Riddick's dog, that one, not his brother or his sister, that dog. Now that that is cleared up, I do like that they went back to the rated R that this movie is and deserves. Yeah I do love the Chronicles of Riddick movie, a lot and it is my favorite, but there is something lacking. With this you also get the whole survival of the fittest, lone wolf, in the middle of nowhere man trying to find his home and who he is again. It also wouldn't be Riddick without throwing it back to the Pitch Black days. Aliens that come out in the cover of darkness or in this case, rain. Then you also get the father of the man who was being a douchebag in Pitch Black. You know, the one that wanted to kill the girl to save his own skin? Yeah that one. Glad to know that his father is a better man than he was, but kind of sad to watch him find out the horrible thing about his son.
