309: Prince of Persia




First thing, if you haven't played the video games...you need to do that now. Yes I know, they are mainly on older systems, like the original Playstation and Xbox, but just trust me. They are amazing and when they came out with this movie, I actually loved it. I know that a lot of people didn't like it, there was an issue with who they chose to play Dustan, but I don't care. I think he was perfect and I love how they got it to feel like the moments in the game with all the parkour. The music was spot on. Honestly I love this movie a freaking lot. I wish it had done well enough for them to continue Dustan's adventures and go further into the video game storylines, but sadly it won't happen.

I do have to say that it makes me want to play all of the games now. Hm...maybe that will be my next stream, now the question is, I think I have to stream from a camera from my Playstation 2! Or I could just download the Playstation Now and play them. I will have to figure it out, especially since I still have my PS2 and the games.

168: Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies

First off...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! Now I can get into the movie. This is my 2nd time seeing this one and I forgot that two people died at the end and not just Kili. I mean I cried, I cried really hard when the Elf King told her the reason why it hurt so much was because her love for him was real. My big emotional scale through this movie was, anxiety from all the battle going on, to "come on Thorin, get your head out of your ass", to "YAY THORIN IS BACK", to back heartbreak at the death of Fili, Kili and Thorin, to glad the war was over and Bilbo could go home...of course only to find out his personal effects were being auctioned off. I mean I know there is a lot of CGI in this movie and this one is my least favorite, but not because of that reasoning that is so many others'. Back to basics. To the animal side. The Furian side. Let's be honest here, the dog stole the show. We all want Riddick's dog, that one, not his brother or his sister, that dog. Now that that is cleared up, I do like that they went back to the rated R that this movie is and deserves. Yeah I do love the Chronicles of Riddick movie, a lot and it is my favorite, but there is something lacking. With this you also get the whole survival of the fittest, lone wolf, in the middle of nowhere man trying to find his home and who he is again. It also wouldn't be Riddick without throwing it back to the Pitch Black days. Aliens that come out in the cover of darkness or in this case, rain. Then you also get the father of the man who was being a douchebag in Pitch Black. You know, the one that wanted to kill the girl to save his own skin? Yeah that one. Glad to know that his father is a better man than he was, but kind of sad to watch him find out the horrible thing about his son.
