307: Priest

I honestly really love this movie. I was initially brought to it because of Karl Urban. Bad guy western Vampire, that used to be a Priest. Then I realized just how many people I know in this and the storyline just made me love it. Also, those weapons, watching the behind the scenes was cool. With Paul explaining his favorite weapon was his blade that splits into two. I agree whole heartedly. It was also cool to watch them explain how they did the bikes for the movie, as someone who grew up in cars. Sad that all that training to ride it didn't help once they went out into the desert and had to drive it on different terrain. Training wheels. Funny but sad that that had to happen.

The way that vampires are handled in this movie, is not romanticized like in other films. Even though Underworld is the same line as this one, you just don't get very many changes in how vampires are portrayed in horror films. Even the fact of a human vampire is new and never been done until Black Hat in this world. There are vampires who are creatures, not humanoid at all and the servants who are pale, blue eyed, can be in the sun and not entirely human nor vampire. The concept is very intriguing and it would be nice to delve into this world a little more. Not knowing what day and age it is, futuristic, Western, industrial and ruled by Religion that is more of a corporation of sorts.

It might not have done well and the chances of a sequel is most likely non-existent, I would love it if it happened.
