224: Little Nicky



"Shh, I'm sleeping. Or am I?"

That is honestly my favorite quote...well and also the, "Think of the butterflies." I mean this movie is really funny and has some lines. This was the first movie that I was introduced to involving Adam Sandler when I was growing up. You would think Mr. Deeds, but that wasn't until after this. This was one of my dad's favorite movies when I was little. The one thing that I laugh at really hard whenever I watch this, is when Beefy the dog goes to sleep and his sleeping is of kids singing, 'la, la, la, la, la,laaa'. My friend when she watched this with me thought it was super creepy, I can kind of see it but find the humor in it more than anything.

You would think that I like Nicky the best, but I had a huge crush on Adrian his brother and I think that the two metal dudes stole the show. Especially how they were rocking it out in Nicky's old bedroom in Hell. It also took me a long time to try Popeye's chicken since watching this movie when it first came out. I had wanted to try it so badly but there was none in the state I used to live. Now that I have tried it...I agree with the demon. "Popeye's is the shiznit." Rock on dudes and think of the butterflies.

Last and final mass movie post! I finally did it guys/gals, I completed my movie goal today!!!! I can't believe that I watched 461 movies in one year! I also can't believe I own that many movies! 168: Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies

First off...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! Now I can get into the movie. This is my 2nd time seeing this one and I forgot that two people died at the end and not just Kili. I mean I cried, I cried really hard when the Elf King told her the reason why it hurt so much was because her love for him was real. My big emotional scale through this movie was, anxiety from all the battle going on, to "come on Thorin, get your head out of your ass", to "YAY THORIN IS BACK", to back heartbreak at the death of Fili, Kili and Thorin, to glad the war was over and Bilbo could go home...of course only to find out his personal effects were being auctioned off. I mean I know there is a lot of CGI in this movie and this one is my least favorite, but not because of that reasoning that is so many others'. Back to basics. To the animal side. The Furian side. Let's be honest here, the dog stole the show. We all want Riddick's dog, that one, not his brother or his sister, that dog. Now that that is cleared up, I do like that they went back to the rated R that this movie is and deserves. Yeah I do love the Chronicles of Riddick movie, a lot and it is my favorite, but there is something lacking. With this you also get the whole survival of the fittest, lone wolf, in the middle of nowhere man trying to find his home and who he is again. It also wouldn't be Riddick without throwing it back to the Pitch Black days. Aliens that come out in the cover of darkness or in this case, rain. Then you also get the father of the man who was being a douchebag in Pitch Black. You know, the one that wanted to kill the girl to save his own skin? Yeah that one. Glad to know that his father is a better man than he was, but kind of sad to watch him find out the horrible thing about his son.
