217: Lemonade Mouth




Makes me want some of Mel's Lemonade, it looks really good in the movie. The music in this movie is on my iPod if that tells you how much I love this movie. When it came out when I was a Senior in High School, the next day everyone was singing it in choir and talking about it. I wish that Disney Channel still made movies with this quality but they really don't. Sure there is Descendants and that is really good, but they have kind of gone downhill in terms of their television channel. Also I mean come on, the female bass player wound up being a Power Ranger years later. She was awesome in this trying to find out who she was and breaking the mold of an American teenager/perfect Indian daughter, went onward to kicking butt to save the world.

I still find it sad that they never did get to the sequel they had wanted to do. It would have been nice to see Lemonade Mouth go on another adventure. I do still follow Bridgit Mendler from this though and her music is really good, even though Determinate will always be my jam. I was singing along while I was watching this and I think the only song I don't like all that much, but is still okay for me, is You Gotta Hear Me Now. There is a lot of really good meaning behind the song, but I don't really do rap in any form. If I do, it is rare. Well I guess I should go and do what I have been putting off today before I watch another movie tonight.

Last and final mass movie post! I finally did it guys/gals, I completed my movie goal today!!!! I can't believe that I watched 461 movies in one year! I also can't believe I own that many movies! 168: Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies

First off...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! Now I can get into the movie. This is my 2nd time seeing this one and I forgot that two people died at the end and not just Kili. I mean I cried, I cried really hard when the Elf King told her the reason why it hurt so much was because her love for him was real. My big emotional scale through this movie was, anxiety from all the battle going on, to "come on Thorin, get your head out of your ass", to "YAY THORIN IS BACK", to back heartbreak at the death of Fili, Kili and Thorin, to glad the war was over and Bilbo could go home...of course only to find out his personal effects were being auctioned off. I mean I know there is a lot of CGI in this movie and this one is my least favorite, but not because of that reasoning that is so many others'. 327: Riddick

Back to basics. To the animal side. The Furian side. Let's be honest here, the dog stole the show. We all want Riddick's dog, that one, not his brother or his sister, that dog. Now that that is cleared up, I do like that they went back to the rated R that this movie is and deserves. Yeah I do love the Chronicles of Riddick movie, a lot and it is my favorite, but there is something lacking. With this you also get the whole survival of the fittest, lone wolf, in the middle of nowhere man trying to find his home and who he is again. It also wouldn't be Riddick without throwing it back to the Pitch Black days. Aliens that come out in the cover of darkness or in this case, rain. Then you also get the father of the man who was being a douchebag in Pitch Black. You know, the one that wanted to kill the girl to save his own skin? Yeah that one. Glad to know that his father is a better man than he was, but kind of sad to watch him find out the horrible thing about his son.
