148: Happy Feet 2

Just look at that cute little face!!!! Oh my goodness, this is my second time seeing this one and it has been a while since I have seen it. I forgot how hilarious Bill and Will the Krill are! They totally steal the show on this movie. "One in a krillion." "Where there's a krill there's a way." Wanting to adapt and go up on the food chain, trying to eat the leopard seal. I couldn't stop laughing! When you get Brad Pitt and Matt Damon as krill...*shakes head* They are too goofy for their own good! Then you get the cutest thing ever! Little tiny Erik and his pals. Erik is the smallest of the bunch, who doesn't understand why you dance or why you sing, wants to fly and do his own thing...just like his dad Mumble did in the 1st movie.

Then that song at the end trying to get the elephant seals to help them get the other Emperor penguins out of the whole they are stuck in from a glacier. Opera! Opera in a little tiny cute freaking voice of a penguin. You cannot get much cuter than that! I do like though that these two movies have brought forth very important issues with nature and humans. The first one was about pollution and over fishing in areas that wildlife depended on to live. Then you get this one with the oil spills and where the colder parts of the world are heating up and causing problems with glaciers floating and parts of ice to break away leaving wildlife stranded or trapped. They introduce these in a way that is not really in your face, but lets you know that hey....this is what is happening in the real world, be mindful and help out. Be more aware of what your footprint is with recycling, donating, signing petitions, or even going to a Wolf Center/Eagle Center/any kind of animal center where they take in, teach, inform and even rehabilitate.

They have many ways to tell you how to help out and I mean even if you buy something from the gift shop, or even the ticket cost tends to go towards cleaning up the oceans, helping keep a habitat in tact, cleaning animals who are stuck in oil spills, helping with surgeries on certain animals who need it...you get the point. We should all--animals and humans alike--have Happy Feet. Care for others and care about your planet. Simple as that. :)
