147: Happy Feet



What a great movie to start the day! So cute, I love baby Mumble with his little voice and fluffiness. There are 3 actors in this movie that are no longer with us: Steve Irwin as on of the Elephant seals, Brittany Murphy as Gloria, and finally the master Robin Williams as Lovelace/Ramon. I love this movie on so many levels, the songs are fantastic. Especially how it starts with a Prince song, we Minnesotans and the world miss you! I also love that it involves 2 of my favorite passions, dancing and singing. Now I don't know about you, but it is super stinking sad that Mumble doesn't fit in and people dislike him and shun him. Just because he can't sing.

Then he is older and finds some wild, wacky, and all around amazing group of friends that are smaller than him, do things different than him, but are so accepting of everyone. This movie really shows how you can find love and friends in the strangest of places, from the strangest of situations. You won't always fit in where you go, so just be true to who you are and you will find your home in life. I forgot how funny this movie was, especially because of Robin Williams as Ramon. Man I miss him, he was the whole package and could do anything flawlessly.

Rest in Peace Prince, Brittany Murphy, Steve Irwin and Robin Williams. Thank you for giving us who you were and doing what you loved till the very end.

Last and final mass movie post! I finally did it guys/gals, I completed my movie goal today!!!! I can't believe that I watched 461 movies in one year! I also can't believe I own that many movies! 168: Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies

First off...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! Now I can get into the movie. This is my 2nd time seeing this one and I forgot that two people died at the end and not just Kili. I mean I cried, I cried really hard when the Elf King told her the reason why it hurt so much was because her love for him was real. My big emotional scale through this movie was, anxiety from all the battle going on, to "come on Thorin, get your head out of your ass", to "YAY THORIN IS BACK", to back heartbreak at the death of Fili, Kili and Thorin, to glad the war was over and Bilbo could go home...of course only to find out his personal effects were being auctioned off. I mean I know there is a lot of CGI in this movie and this one is my least favorite, but not because of that reasoning that is so many others'. Back to basics. To the animal side. The Furian side. Let's be honest here, the dog stole the show. We all want Riddick's dog, that one, not his brother or his sister, that dog. Now that that is cleared up, I do like that they went back to the rated R that this movie is and deserves. Yeah I do love the Chronicles of Riddick movie, a lot and it is my favorite, but there is something lacking. With this you also get the whole survival of the fittest, lone wolf, in the middle of nowhere man trying to find his home and who he is again. It also wouldn't be Riddick without throwing it back to the Pitch Black days. Aliens that come out in the cover of darkness or in this case, rain. Then you also get the father of the man who was being a douchebag in Pitch Black. You know, the one that wanted to kill the girl to save his own skin? Yeah that one. Glad to know that his father is a better man than he was, but kind of sad to watch him find out the horrible thing about his son.
