242: Master of Disguise

Watching this movie again, I still have it memorized. From him singing he's going to be a master of disguise, to being a turtle, to being gammy num num's. Then there is the iconic:



I mean come on. How many times have you wanted to do this to someone to tell them to shut up? I think I actually did this in Elementary school too, but it wasn't in a mean way. People knew what I was talking about and we all laughed. Now we didn't laugh and then fart like Devlin did. ;)

If you have yet to experience the magnificent Dana Carvey, then you need to see this movie. If you still have yet to understand just how funny he is when being dressed as someone else, doing different voices...then watch SNL with him as The Church Lady. Know him now? Good. This is one of those movies that will cheer you right up with some stupid humor and just how it makes fun a little bit of those spy movies. Pistachio, you really are a master of disguise.

168: Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies

First off...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! Now I can get into the movie. This is my 2nd time seeing this one and I forgot that two people died at the end and not just Kili. I mean I cried, I cried really hard when the Elf King told her the reason why it hurt so much was because her love for him was real. My big emotional scale through this movie was, anxiety from all the battle going on, to "come on Thorin, get your head out of your ass", to "YAY THORIN IS BACK", to back heartbreak at the death of Fili, Kili and Thorin, to glad the war was over and Bilbo could go home...of course only to find out his personal effects were being auctioned off. I mean I know there is a lot of CGI in this movie and this one is my least favorite, but not because of that reasoning that is so many others'. Back to basics. To the animal side. The Furian side. Let's be honest here, the dog stole the show. We all want Riddick's dog, that one, not his brother or his sister, that dog. Now that that is cleared up, I do like that they went back to the rated R that this movie is and deserves. Yeah I do love the Chronicles of Riddick movie, a lot and it is my favorite, but there is something lacking. With this you also get the whole survival of the fittest, lone wolf, in the middle of nowhere man trying to find his home and who he is again. It also wouldn't be Riddick without throwing it back to the Pitch Black days. Aliens that come out in the cover of darkness or in this case, rain. Then you also get the father of the man who was being a douchebag in Pitch Black. You know, the one that wanted to kill the girl to save his own skin? Yeah that one. Glad to know that his father is a better man than he was, but kind of sad to watch him find out the horrible thing about his son.
