206: Kid in King Authur's Court




The movie that started it all and before he went to Aladdin's Palace he went back to the round table. In fact he was the one who came up with the round table, weird huh? Ha, ha. Yet again I must mention the inconsistencies with the laws of time travel. Even the fact that he used his laser disc reader for his walkman to blind a guard...I'm sorry but they were never that strong and even then wouldn't work without the CD. Just saying. I also had no idea that Kate Winslet and Daniel Craig were in this film, I haven't seen it in many years otherwise I would have remembered that fact. I did remember that Kate Winslet as the princess wound up being the Black Knight, so that is a bonus for remembering that crucial part.

I do have to say I like the 2nd one better, not saying I don't like this one, the 2nd was just less cheesy. Well I don't have much else to say other than I am leaving tomorrow morning, really early, to head back to Utah for my brother's wedding. He is getting married! Yes, I'm in the wedding and yes I like his fiance. I keep getting asked that, so figured I would get it out of the way if you all are thinking it. I'm just trying to get this blog post out before I pack up my laptop and finish up what I can pack away before the last minute things tomorrow morning. It has been since I was 15 that I last flew on a plane and that was to come up here to Minnesota to visit my grandpa with my learner's permit. Have a good night everyone, it is time for me to sign off. Hopefully I don't get pulled back in time like Calvin, I wouldn't be as prepared as he is with his trusty backpack.

Last and final mass movie post! I finally did it guys/gals, I completed my movie goal today!!!! I can't believe that I watched 461 movies in one year! I also can't believe I own that many movies! 168: Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies

First off...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!! Now I can get into the movie. This is my 2nd time seeing this one and I forgot that two people died at the end and not just Kili. I mean I cried, I cried really hard when the Elf King told her the reason why it hurt so much was because her love for him was real. My big emotional scale through this movie was, anxiety from all the battle going on, to "come on Thorin, get your head out of your ass", to "YAY THORIN IS BACK", to back heartbreak at the death of Fili, Kili and Thorin, to glad the war was over and Bilbo could go home...of course only to find out his personal effects were being auctioned off. I mean I know there is a lot of CGI in this movie and this one is my least favorite, but not because of that reasoning that is so many others'. Back to basics. To the animal side. The Furian side. Let's be honest here, the dog stole the show. We all want Riddick's dog, that one, not his brother or his sister, that dog. Now that that is cleared up, I do like that they went back to the rated R that this movie is and deserves. Yeah I do love the Chronicles of Riddick movie, a lot and it is my favorite, but there is something lacking. With this you also get the whole survival of the fittest, lone wolf, in the middle of nowhere man trying to find his home and who he is again. It also wouldn't be Riddick without throwing it back to the Pitch Black days. Aliens that come out in the cover of darkness or in this case, rain. Then you also get the father of the man who was being a douchebag in Pitch Black. You know, the one that wanted to kill the girl to save his own skin? Yeah that one. Glad to know that his father is a better man than he was, but kind of sad to watch him find out the horrible thing about his son.
